Skipping food will it reduce my recovery?

I am anorexic and I am sick with a lung infection/nasal infection. I'm on penicillin, I have chest x-rays tomorrow for my chest/nasal. I can't exercise in this condition, so I am starving myself, just water. Will this effect my recovery rate? Or it doesn't really mater?
