My religion forbids me to have children. It also forces me to be a slacker. Is this a let-down?

As a Garyist - Gary the Golden Garden Gnome doesn't like work nor children - I am not permitted to have children or have a high career and ambition. He teaches us to 'feck it' (in his words) and leave Earth with as little as renown as possible. Is this bad if I'd ever want a woman ?
