How do you unclog a candle from your toilet?

Never thought I'd have to ask this in my lifetime, but my roommate saw a candle in the toilet after she had already done her business and decided to flush it anyways. I'm hoping it was a small teacup candle. I'm wondering what the best method is to remove it
