What is this movie, please help?

There is a man, that lives in new york and goes to hawaii to visit his daughter and his daughter at one point pretends in front of some guys that her dad is her boyfriend. The dad has long hair to his shoulders thats blond and straight. He wears a hawiian shirt and linen pants. There is one part where he is water skiing behind a boat.
