PDF's won't open for me online?

I just downloaded Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional, and it seems like my computer now tries to open PDFs with it rather than 5.0, which I used before. Anyway, it doesn't work, and the page is blank. What can I do to fix it? Would changing the default program work, and how do I do that?
